Wadaiko back in Brunei
Nakanishi sensei and his group members, WadaikoSyo, are invited and to perform in Brunei once again! This will be their third (3rd) time appearance in Brunei Darussalam.
Finally we have our chance and opportunity to experience Japanese drumming.
This astonishing, first time event is hosted by Times Square Management in conjunction of "Japan Festival" and supported by Brunei Japan Embassy, Japan Foundation, and Japan National Tourism Organization.

We are looking for Drum Members
INTRODUCTION
WadaikoSyo is origin from Malaysia, which is the only Japanese drum group in South East Asia. Thus this taiko training will be carried down too in Brunei - subject to approval by sensei. Nakanishi Takayuki is the founder of WadaikoSyo in Malaysia, origin from Osaka, Kansai region, together with a Malaysian member who called herself Yuki.
In Japanese, "wadaiko" means 'Japanese drum' while "Syo" means 'Jumping up to the sky'.
I, as the only new member from Brunei, who frequently travel to M'sia, self-budget, to learn wadaiko for Brunei. In the near future, i hope we can develop a foundation group in Brunei.
This aim is not just for foundation, but to strengthen the friendship bond between the two countries - Brunei & Japan.
RECRUITING INFORMATION
This is open to public, and no age limit is required. Minimum of 8 members are required to fulfill this training with sensei, who to be invited into Brunei Darussalam, for private training sessions. Deposits (at least 50%) are required in first hand upon registration as this fee includes sensei's travel expenses, registration fee and drums.
Training will most likely to held in January 2012 when sufficient no. of members have registered for this training. For more other info, please read the FAQs. Thanks.

1) When and what time is the training?
A: The training with Taiko-sensei is on SATURDAY & SUNDAY because that is the only time he’s available. The date of training will be discussed among the paying-members. Secondly, there will also be trainings for private practice.

2) Where is the location for the training?
A: Most likely UBD campus area. Unless there’s a suitable location to train in. Second consideration is the transportation for the drums – it’s heavy!

3) How long does the training going to be?
A: The training with sensei is 4 hours per day – depends on individual’s perseverance. Prolonged training may cause muscles ache & blister(s).

A: This fee is for the early-bird registration fee, sensei’s expenses, and drum fee.

A: Most probably in January 2012 – depends on the number of registered members. Deposits are required in advance to arrange sensei’s schedule.
